"Voice of Beslan" tries to find out the motives of the criminal case

Members of the "Voice of Beslan" Committee are going to visit the Investigatory Committee of North Ossetia and ask why a criminal case was initiated against the Committee.

"The prosecutor's office has accepted our application filed to the name of Public Prosecutor Shtadler signed by all our members who rallied together. We are not going to give up and wish to demand an explanation why a case is falsified against us," Ella Kesaeva has stated in her interview to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Today, at 10 a.m. the members of the All-Russian NGO "Voice of Beslan"  grouped together at the building of the Prosecutor's Office of North Ossetia to meet the Republic's Public Prosecutor Herman Shtadler and ask him to stop the prosecution of the Committee and initiation of criminal cases against it. However, Mr Shtadler was absent, and the meeting was postponed.

A similar action was held on February 15 at the building of the Investigatory Committee of Beslan. The protesters are sure that the investigation of the case against the members of Committee was biased.

According to the co-chair Ella Kesaeva, the Committee has prepared a complaint, which in the near future will be sent to the Strasbourg Court for Human Rights. Its authors report about falsification of a criminal case against the members of the Committee Ella Kesaeva, Svetlana Margieva and Emilia Bzarova initiated by the District Prosecutor's Office on February 15.
