Evloev, arrested in Ingushetia, is suspected of organizing mass disorders in Nazran

Magomed Evloev, a resident of Ekazhevo village, Nazran District of Ingushetia, who was detained on February 13 by power agents, is suspected of organizing mass disorders in Nazran on January 26, when the buildings of the Republic's newspaper "Serdalo" and hotel "Assa" were set on fire.

"Yesterday, the law enforcement bodies of the Republic of Ingushetia detained, on suspicion of organizing mass disorders on January 26, 2008, in Nazran and under Articles 91 and 92 of the Russian Code of Criminal Procedure, M. Evloev, a resident of Ekazhevo village of the Nazran District," the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Ingushetia has informed today.

The Office has also reported that Evloev was detained under the criminal case initiated by the Investigatory Department for the Republic of Ingushetia of the Investigatory Committee under the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation under Article "Organization and Participation in Mass Disorders" of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The Prosecutor's Office gives no information about the place of Evloev's custody.

Magomed Evloev is a brother of the wife of Maksharip Aushev, head of the organizing committee of the nationwide rally, the website "Ingushetia.Ru" reports. Last November he was detained by local law enforcement bodies, who took him for another Magomed Evloev, his namesake and the owner of the "Ingushetia.Ru" website.
