Advocates of ex-Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan fear for his life

According to the statement made by the advocates of Farkhad Aliev, former Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan, if the authorities want their client to escape the fate of Patarkatsishvili, they should admit attending physicians to him. The advocates told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent about it.

According to the lawyers, their client has already lived through a heart attack. They noted that their numerous appeals to the chief physician and the head of the medical establishment remained unanswered. "We ask to ensure our presence during our client's medical examination and to provide us with copies of his cardiogram and x-ray pictures, however, they refuse to do it," advocate Isakhan Ashurov said.

"We have strong suspicions that they deliberately fail to treat Farkhad Aliev properly, to have his condition still worse and provoke a tragedy, but will then the authorities be the winners?" Mr Ashurov asks.
