Militia fines participants of rally in Nazran, Ingushetia

On January 26, some 50 persons were brought to the city's OVD (Militia Unit) on suspicion of participation in the mass disorders, which burst out in the centre of Nazran (Ingushetia); of them, 19 were brought to administrative responsibility in the form of fines.

This was reported by the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic Ingushetia (RI). According to the Office, on 39 persons protocols were filed on administrative offences, including in relation to parents of the teenagers who took part in illegal action. The materials on other suspects are at the stage of consideration.

Besides, nine more persons were detained and placed, under Articles 91-92 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, into the pre-trial detention facility of the RI's Ministry of Internal Affairs. There is no more detailed information about these persons and incriminated crimes; however, it is already known that the rally organizers are not among the detainees.

"We have no more data to this end. At present, we have no complaints received from relatives of the arrested persons or victims at dispersal of the rally in Nazran," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told today at the Nazran office of the HRC "Memorial".
