Public and politicians are concerned of atmosphere of fear in Armenia

The Public and Political Movement "Legitimate President 2008" is stating facts of illegal propaganda organized by the authorities of the Armenia and stirring up the atmosphere of fear in the country before the elections.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent informs that the Movement "Legitimate President 2008" expresses its indignation and bewilderment with the fact that until now, despite many media publications concerning the statement of Prime Minister's brother Alexander Sarkisyan about a possible liquidation of the opposition, the Prosecutor's Office of Armenia has revealed no interest to the issue.

This was stated on January 21 by Garnik Markaryan, leader of the Party "Homeland and Honour", at the regular sitting of the Movement.

Mr Markaryan has also informed that the Movement is closely tracing all the violations committed well before the start of the pre-election campaign and is going to send the whole package of violations, currently over 50 in number, to the General Public Prosecutor. The Movement is also planning to send a similar letter on numerous violations to the missions of international observers.
