Dagestan: advocate of arrested deputy candidate Nukhov appeals against his arrest

On November 29, Suleiman Azuev, advocate of Nukh Nukhov, candidate for the head of the Municipal Formation (MF) "Dakhadaev District", appealed against the statement of the Sovietskiy District Court of Makhachkala on his client's arrest at the Supreme Court of Dagestan.

The case will be considered on December 3. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by Nukhov's supporter Magomed that the accusation was built on groundless evidences of interested persons - convicts Bagomed and Ali Alievs, and the victim Magomedsalam Omarov himself. "The evidences were given three months after the notorious skirmish. However, for some reason, the investigation and the court had failed to take into account the evidences of other people, which were attached to the criminal case on the skirmish that had took place on March 2 this year. These eyewitnesses had evidenced that after the skirmish the victim Magomedsalam was seen absolutely safe and healthy," Magomed said.

According to the interlocutor, despite the arrest, Mr Nukhov has not recalled his nomination to the post of the head of the District.

We remind you that on November 29 the Sovietskiy District Court of the city of Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan, passed a decision to arrest Nukh Nukhov, candidate to the post of the head of the Municipal Formation "Dakhadaev District". One of his relatives informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent about it.

Nukh Nukhov was detained on November 26 in the evening in one of cafes of Makhachkala and is currently kept at one of the pre-trial isolation facilities. He was presented charges on three articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: "Hooliganism", "Causing harm to one's health" and "Illegal bearing and storage of arms". The arrest was appointed for the period of two months.
