General Prosecutor's Office of Georgia brings a case on mass disorders

The General Prosecutor's Office of Georgia has initiated a criminal case on the fact of mass clashes during the opposition meeting in Tbilisi on November 7.

According to the spokesman of the Office, they intend to run a general investigation of the events in Tbilisi on the day of dispersal of the meeting of opposition, the "News-Georgia" reports.

Earlier, Shota Utiashvili, head of the analytical department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Georgia, had stated that criminal cases will be initiated on every fact when excessive force was applied by the fighters of special troops in the process of dispersing the action of the opposition.

Meanwhile today the Deputy Public Prosecutor of Georgia Nika Gvaramiya has stated that businessman Badri Patarkatsishvili is suspected of devising a plot with the aim of overthrow the existing power in Georgia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has already reported that earlier Nodar Grigalashvili, a Georgian MP, had stated that a conspiracy of two persons exists in the country - ex-Minister of Defence Okruashvili and Badri Patarkatsishvili who back up the opposition.

Let us note here that today Badri Patarkatsishvili made comments in his statement on the decision of the President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili to hold early presidential elections in the country.

The businessman predicts that the authorities will label some leaders of the opposition to be "nation's enemies", others will be "pushed out of the country by blackmail and threats, without letting them to get registered and run their pre-election campaign."
