Abkhazia denies kidnapping a resident of Galskiy District

Laurens Kogoniya, head of the Galskiy District Department of Internal Affairs, Abkhazia, has refuted the information of Georgian media about kidnapping on the night of April 21 of Gocha Gamisoniya, a resident of the District. "Nobody was kidnapped in the Galskiy District. Gocha Gamisoniya is quite OK and at home. Naturally, nobody has ever asked 70,000 US dollars as a ransom for him. The news of Mr. Gamisoniya's kidnapping is just a fiction," Mr. Kogoniya said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

In his turn, Minister of Defence Sultan Sosnaliev has refuted the information about deployment of Abkhazian militaries in the Galskiy District. The information about deployment in the villages of the Galskiy District "of armed formations over 100 soldiers strong" was disseminated by Georgian media with reference to Abkhazian authorities in exile.
