Sulim Yamadaev's relatives say he is alive, Dubai police reports his death

Relatives of Hero of Russia Sulim Yamadaev, ex-commander of the "Vostok" battalion, who was attacked in Dubai on March 28, continue insisting that he is alive. The photo of his tomb that allegedly appeared in the Internet, in their opinion, means nothing. Meanwhile, Dakhi Khalfan Tamim, head of Dubai police, has once again confirmed that Yamadaev is dead.

Until now in Gudermes, in the district, where Yamadaev's relatives and close friends live, no preparatory actions for holding the obligatory in case of a person's death commemoration ceremony are observed, as the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

"We're already sick and tired of the questions about Sulim's fate. We have no proofs of his death, and we have only the information that we get from his brother Isa, who is in Dubai. Isa says that Sulim is alive, and the police had deliberately announced him murdered to make easier the search of performers and customers of this crime," said Zurab, one of numerous Yamadaev's relatives.

Let us note here that on April 1 President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov announced that Sulim Yamadaev was dead with reference to his younger brother Isa.

Isa, in his turn, in his interview to the BBC, refuted the information about this conversation. "I state that I never talked to President in 2008 or 2009," said Isa Yamadaev.

Meanwhile, Dakhi Khalfan Tamim, head of Dubai police has reconfirmed, in his interview to the edition named "National" that Yamadaev is dead: "Nobody could survive being shot in the head from close distance."

We remind you that the main suspect has appeared in the case on attempt on Sulim Yamadaev in Dubai. Under preliminary data, he was detained in another Emirate of the United Arab Emirates, presumably, in Umm El Kaivain. The citizenship and name of the arrested suspect of attempting on Sulim Yamadaev are not disclosed.

Earlier, Sergey Krasnogor, General Consul of Russia in Dubai, reported that the police of Dubai detained about 20 Russians on suspicion of participating in the attempt. They all had near the place of the crime. Yesterday, on April 2, all the detainees were set free.
