Maskhadov ordered rebels to leave Russia

Aslan Maskhadov made an order to rebels to leave Russia. As it was reported at the Regional Operations Staff for the Control of the Antiterrorist Operation in the Northern Caucasus, this information was received from Lechi Aydiyev detained on suspicion of his belonging to armed units.

This information is confirmed by some other sources.

The other day Maskhadov has set a task for rebels and members of their families to acquire new passports and leave Russia so as to get refugee status in foreign countries. Poland, Czechia, Lithuania, Belgium, Denmark, and Norway are mentioned among those countries.

In Maskhadov's opinion, separatists who will leave Russia should "promote the development of anti-Russian sentiments in Chechen Diasporas" in those countries, noted a representative of the Regional Operations Staff.
