Evkurov: war on corruption returned 14 million roubles back into the budget of Ingushetia

Yunus-Bek Evkurov, President of the Republic of Ingushetia, said that his anticorruption actions have returned 14 million roubles back into the Republic's budget.

"I suggested that the officials guilty of embezzlement or misappropriation of budgetary funds should return them in full into the local budget. In this case, they'll be amnestied," said Mr Evkurov. "This action was coordinated with the Prosecutor's Office."

He has emphasized that "amnesty will be applied to corrupted officials only if they completely return the stolen funds or give a sincere confession about those who have committed this sort of crimes," as the "Interfax-South" writes.

As of today, according to President Evkurov, 14 million roubles out of stolen 93 million have been returned, as the Yuga.ru" writes.
