Lithuanian Commission on Journalistic and Publishing Ethics has not found calls for terror on Chechen separatists' website

The Lithuanian Commission on Journalistic and Publishing Ethics (LCJPE) believes the website of Chechen separatists "Kavkaz-Center" does not unleash religious and national discord. LCJPE Chairman Gintaras Songaila reported it to the BNS agency on Tuesday.

The Second District Court of Vilnius gave the commission the order to evaluate information contained on the website www.kavkazcenter.com as it was trying the report on the administrative infringement of Rimantas Pasys, a director of the Lithuanian Elneta company supporting the website. The report was drawn up by the State Security Department.

Rimantas Pasys made a request to the Court himself to assign an examination to the LCJPE.

"The materials published on the website "Kavkaz-Center" should be interpreted as a certain incitement against occupation Russian authorities in Chechnya and beyond its limits, however there is no incitement against the Russians and Christians themselves - this is the basic difference", declared Gintaras Songaila.

The trial on the case of the "Kavkaz-Center" will continue at the end of September.
