In Nasyr-Kort, power agents swept dwelling houses, residents of Ingushetia assert

Residents of the Nasyr-Kort municipal district of the city of Nazran, Ingushetia, refuse to confirm the information about bombardment of the block-post by unknown persons. They assert that on April 21 the fire was from one side and was opened by power agents.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent learnt about it from Vakha Chapanov, head of the Ingush IA "Maximum", who had held monitoring of the incident in Nasyr-Kort that happened late at night on April 21.

Local residents told Mr Chapanov that at 11:20 p.m. Russian militaries, who held their service at the block-post, opened a dense fire on adjacent houses where local residents live. The fire was from grenade launchers, and some 25 shots were made.

The interlocutor of the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent told that the houses located near the above block-post are inhabited mainly by people having the surname Aushev - distant relatives of Maksharip Aushev, one of the organizers of the January rally. He has found out that all the shelled houses belong to Aushevs.

There are no victims among the residents of the shelled houses. A woman named Maret Khidrieva from Ekazhevo village received a gunshot wound from a large-calibre machine gun and is currently in the Republic's Hospital.

Murad Aushev, 70, told Vakha Chapanov that he had tried to find out on the following day from power agents the reason of "such ruthless and lawless bombardment." He asserts that "the power agents smelt and looked, with their swollen faces, like after a strong booze."
