In Armenia, court obliges the GALA TV Company to remove its aerial from the tower

In Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, the Appeal Court has upheld the decision of the first instance court of Gyumri obliging the GALA TV Company to remove its equipment from the old television tower, which is the property of the city mayoralty.

Thus, the appeal against the Gyumri Court's decision was rejected.

We remind you that the court session held two weeks ago in Gyumri and chaired by Judge Armen Khachatryan made a decision to satisfy the claim lodged by the Gyumri city mayoralty against the GALA TV Company demanding to remove the Company's antenna from the old television tower.

Karine Arutyunyan, GALA's Executive Director, told journalists that the decision of the Appeal Court was no surprise to the managers of the TV Company, in the recently six months accustomed to pressure and prosecutions. According to her story, the court decision, undoubtedly, will cause problems to the Company, and, most likely, for some time GALA with be out of air. At the same time, she has informed that there are volunteers who expressed readiness to provide the area required for placing the antenna. Now GALA managers are discussing possible variants of further operation.

We remind you that on April 7 unidentified persons put the TV Company's antenna on fire.
