In Kabardino-Balkaria, Fatima Tekaeva's advocate addressed Public Prosecutor in connection of her detention

Advocate Magomed Abubakarov, a member of the Bar of the Chechen Republic, who is defending the interests of Rasul Kudaev, has addressed the Public Prosecutor of the KBR with an application on detention of Fatima Tekaeva, Rasul Kudaev's mother, and his brother Arsen Mokaev.

The advocate asks the Republic's Public Prosecutor to react to this incident and institute criminal prosecution against the persons who have breached the law, and to recognize these actions of the employees of law enforcement bodies as the actions violating Rasul Kudaev's right for defence.

Magomed Abubakarov said that "by illegal detention of Fatima Tekaeva and her son, confiscation of their listed property, the employees of Centre 'Т' have breached Rasul Kudaev's right for defence, since a number of confiscated documents contained evidences of Rasul Kudaev's innocence. Certain files and folders in the personal computer contained information, concerning the position of the defence in the criminal case."

We remind you that Fatima Tekaeva, mother of Rasul Kudaev, defendant in the criminal case on the events on October 13, 2005, was detained in the morning of February 14.
