Kabardino-Balkaria: people are concerned with murders of Republic's citizens in Moscow

The murders of two residents of Kabardino-Balkaria committed in Moscow within the latest week are the hot topic in the Republic. The KBR's community is concerned with what happens in the capital of the country.

The events were commented by Valery Khatazhukov, Chairman of the Kabardino-Balkarian Public Human Rights Centre:

"When Zhirinovsky, leader of one of parliamentary parties, offers a program of eviction of the peoples of Northern Caucasus outside their territories, iterating what tsarist generals had offered, many marginal persons take it as a guide to action.

None of Russian politicians has ever condemned the LDPR doctrine; on the contrary, President Putin in his recent speech named the leader 'an outrageous politician', but a 'patriot', thus having expressed his support to Zhirinovsky.

Of the same sort is the 'Russian Project' of the 'Yedinaya Rossiya' Party, which offered all the nations living in Russia to perceive themselves as Russians. Kabardino-Balkaria and other Republics are the form of self-identification of the nations who live in these territories. These state formations are called to defend the interests of their citizens."

The "Caucasian Knot" has informed earlier that on February 17 in Moscow, Mr Kerimov, 33, a resident of Kabardino-Balkaria was killed. Multiple knife wounds were detected on his back, neck and head. The murderers did not take his expensive mobile phone and his money in the sum of 40,000 roubles. As one of the reasons of the murder, the militia put forward the national hatred.

On February 12, Mr Dikinov, 22, became another victim of criminals near House 14 in Molostovykh Street. According to the militia, his body was found in one of the boxes of garage cooperative. The circumstances of the crime are currently cleared out.
