Separatists attacked police station in Chechnya, stole weapons and cars

Unidentified individuals have attacked a police station in the village of Aslanbek-Sheripovo in Chechnya's Shatoy district and stolen arms and several vehicles.

A Chechen Interior Ministry source informed the village's police station was attacked by a group of 20 gunmen wearing masks in the early hours of Tuesday. They set the building on fire.

Apart from a number of weapons, the criminals stole Ural and UAZ- 452 trucks owned by the police station and a Zhiguli car that belonged to one of the police officers.

The Ural and UAZ-452 trucks were found burnt 20 kilometers from the crime scene.

The search for the attackers is in progress.
