In the capital of Chechnya residents of the house stormed by power agents were not evacuated

In the capital of Chechnya, the residents of the house, which was stormed in the course of a special operation held by power agents at night of December 16, say that they were not taken out of the building during the storm.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed that over 20 persons inhabit the block, were the special operation was held, children among them. None of them was evacuated.

Zara Didieva who lives in the second floor has stated that according to her husband the power agents, having mixed up the door, first rushed into their flat, and then went up to the third floor. When Zara asked to take herself and her children out, they were told to come into the flat and wait for further instructions.

"I have seven children, and all of us have spent all these ten hours of the operation under the bed in the farthest room," she said. "When I heard from outdoors that they were going to bring an armoured troop-carrier (ATC) to the house, I was frightened a lot and started to shout from the window: 'Don't shoot - children are here, take us out of here!"

Her neighbours from the fourth floor were forced by the workers of law enforcement bodies to the fifth level into the flat of Petmat Gazieva; her two daughters are still in a shock condition.

Zainap Umaeva was not at home on that night by mere occasion: she left for the village together with her children. "The neighbouring flat was rented by militants, and when they were dislodged out of it, they broke my door and moved in. If I'd been at home then, I wouldn't be talking to you now," Mr Umaeva said. It was in her flat that the militants blew themselves up.

According to the witnesses, woman-militant Malikat Dadasheva was killed the first, two more bandits were wounded, and the last militant blew himself up at 8 in the morning. The "Caucasian Knot" has already informed that the liquidated militants were members of Doku Umarov's illegal armed formation (IAF). Their personalities have been identified.
