Preliminary session of Appeal Court considers complaint of the editor of the "Real Azerbaijan" newspaper

Today, the Appeal Court has held a preliminary session on the complaint of Einullah Fatullaev, convicted editor-in-chief of the "Real Azerbaijan" newspaper.

Chingiz Shukyurov, State Prosecutor of the first instance, has voiced against consideration of the complaint at the Appeal Court, having called the decision of the Court to be objective and lawful. Therefore, he suggested not to consider the complaint.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that advocate Isakhan Ashurov has called the decision of the first instance court to be illegal and suggested to acquit the editor. According to his story, the European Court for Human Rights has already accepted Fatullaev's complaint to consideration, and what now happens is just a shame. After holding debates, the Court has appointed the consideration of the case on December 28 at 11 a.m.
