Human rights centre of Kabardino-Balkaria starts its website

The Kabardino-Balkarian Public Human Rights Centre has started its Internet website at zapravakbr.com.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the Human Rights Centre that the website will cover the main issues related to violations of human rights in the Republic.

In the opinion of Zaur Shokuev, lawyer of the Human Rights Centre, the website is necessary not so much to tell about the Centre's activities, but sooner to get feedbacks - as one of ways to disseminate information.

The new electronic medium is of information-analytical character. The materials on the operation of the Centre starting from 1999 are also placed there.

For reference: the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic's Public Human Rights Centre is a regional branch of the All-Russian Social Movement "For Human Rights". A decision on its foundation was made in May 2002, however, the Centre managed to get registered only in September 2004, after a two year's litigation with the Registration Service of the Ministry of Justice for the KBR.
