Kocharyan: businessman Sukiasyan who supports Ter-Petrosyan deceives Armenia

President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan has stated, while making his comments on the issue of tax audits at the enterprises of the "Sil Concerna", belonging to Khachatur Sukiasyan, who is supporting Levon Ter-Petrosyan, that the tax audits will prove the guilt of the businessman.

We note here that an article published in the "Yerevan-Zhamanak" newspaper on November 16 in reply to the President's statement runs: "We wonder whence Mr Kocharyan knows in advance the outcomes of the tax audits to be conducted at Sukiasyan's enterprises?"

The "Caucasian Knot" has already reported that since November 5 the employees of tax agencies of Armenia and Department VI of the Police for Fighting Organized Crime are conducting tax audits at the enterprises belonging to a major businessman, deputy of the National Assembly of Armenia Khachatur Sukiasyan, who has openly spoken in support of the first Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosyan.

Khachatur Sukiasyan has assured the press that his enterprises are working under the law. He has also stated: "Being the owner of my enterprises, I understand quite well that this is a political order, and in such cases the law can be bypassed. I am ready that pressure will be put on me. I'm taking it all easy, but don't exclude that the rights can be trumped on and an attack on my enterprises can be undertaken." He has declared that he intends to combat the unbridled audits of his enterprises within the legal sphere, up to applying to the European Court for Human Rights.
