Whole circulation of the book about Azerbaijani printed media destroyed

According to the ruling of the Binagadinskiy District Court of Azerbaijan, the whole circulation of the book "Public TV in the Press Mirror" will be confiscated and destroyed. The book is a collection of articles about the work of the Public TV published in printed media of Azerbaijan.

According to Leila Yunus, Director of the Institute for Peace and Democracy, the Azerbaijani NGOs were monitoring the coverage of the work of the Public TV in mass media, however, the presentation of the project results and the book published under the project with media publications was disrupted by the employees of the Public TV.

We remind you that the Public TV was created in Azerbaijan in performance of liabilities before the Council of Europe and began broadcasting in summer of 2005. The law on the Public TV and the very fact of its creation were resolutely criticized by civil society experts, since in fact under the motto of "Public TV" people in Azerbaijan just understand the TV Channel No. 2 of the state-run television.
