Chechnya's MIA: over 300 militants detained during ten months

According to the Republic's law enforcement bodies, since January 2007, a total of 336 participants of armed formations have been detained in the territory of Chechnya.

This is an assertion of a source at the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Chechnya. 129 more militants, as he said, have pled guilty and appeared to the law enforcement bodies.

"Besides, the fighters of the power agencies have liquidated 64 participants of illegal bands, who had rendered armed resistance. Among them, there are six so-called Emirs of bandit groups," he has added.

The "Caucasian Knot" has already informed that despite the repeated statements of Chechen authorities about a practical complete destruction of militants, the Republic is still witnessing the activities of separatists' armed formations.
