Group of ready-to-die terrorists aiming at nuclear reactor of institute named after Kurchatov was detained in Moscow

A group of ready-to-die terrorists was detained in Moscow. Their aim was a nuclear reactor of the Institute of Nuclear Physics named after Kurchatov. As it became known from unofficial sources, the officers of the capital Department of the Federal Security Service detained a sky blue "Zhiguli" car on the night of August 8.

Three Chechens, two women and a man, were in the passenger compartment. All of them wore so-called "shakhid belts" filled with explosives. A capital map with marks, conceivably, future places of terrorist acts, was seized from the Chechens. There were about 30 marks like that. Mainly they marked military and strategic objects, including the building of the Moscow Aviation Institute and the Institute of Nuclear Physics named after Kurchatov, where the nuclear reactor is located.
