Two Nalchik residents fined for calls to attend rally of conscripts’ parents

A court fined Nalchik residents Margarita Getazheeva and Timbora Takov, who posted calls for conscripts’ parents to attend a rally in connection with the fighting in the Kursk Region.

The fighting with the Ukrainian military forces in the Kursk Region began on August 6. On August 12, Acting Governor of the Kursk Region Alexei Smirnov reported that 28 villages and towns in the Kursk Region stayed under the control of the Ukrainian militaries.

The Nalchik City Court fined entrepreneur Margarita Getazheeva and Interior Ministry pensioner Timbora Takov under an administrative article for violating the procedure for organizing a public event. In August, Margarita Getazheeva and Timbora Takov posted calls to the people to come out for a rally after the start of the fighting in the Kursk Region, the “Gazeta Yuga” newspaper reports. Each of the defendants was fined 10,000 roubles.

Margarita Getazheeva admitted her guilt in court “and demonstrated that she had no intent when posting the material.”

In turn, Timbora Takov “did not deny his guilt in committing the offense.”
