Blogger Guzenko’s case reaches court

A criminal case against blogger Yegor Guzenko, who criticized the Russian authorities and Apti Alaudinov, the commander of the “Akhmat” special forces, has been transferred to the Kirovsky District Court of the Stavropol Territory. The court hearing is scheduled for November 5.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on October 5, Yegor Guzenko, an author of the “Trinadtsaty” (Thirteenth) Telegram channel, was detained in Novopavlovsk. Earlier, the blogger was put on the wanted list after he left for the special military operation (SMO) zone from house arrest on a case on hooliganism.

The Kirovsky District Court received a criminal case accusing Yegor Guzenko of using violence against a public official. Being dissatisfied with the policeman’s legal demands to remove a mask from his face for identification, the blogger grabbed the policeman by his jacket, tore off a button, and punched him in the face, the press service for the courts of the Stavropol Territory reported on its Telegram channel.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that after the Yegor Guzenko’s detention, authors of Telegram channels covering events in the combat zone stood up for him, reminding the authorities of the blogger’s participation in the fighting, and asked to give Yegor Guzenko the opportunity to go to the special military operation zone.
