In Stavropol Territory lieutenant sentenced to conditional 18 months for death of a private

The Pyatigorsk Garrison Military Court, Stavropol Territory, has sentenced Pyotr Vasyutenko, commander of the frontier post of the Military Unit 2011, accused of excess of his official powers entailing grave consequences, to one and half years of conditional imprisonment.

The "Gazeta.ru" reports with a reference to the press service of the Stavropol Regional Court that lieutenant of contract service Vasyutenko, while suspecting that private P., when at sentry, had let a group of soldiers into AWOL (absence without official leave), forced him, instead of sleep, for a long time to perform outdoor physical exercises and combat training commands.

After that, in the morning the condemned lieutenant, had allowed private P. to get to his duty shift with firearms. When at the post, the private committed suicide by making shot at his head from the sub-machine gun.
