Victims' advocate demands new expertise of death of Sultanov, 19

The advocate for the parents of the murdered Magomed-Ali Sultanov from Kayakent has demanded from the court to appoint a new forensic examination, pointing out inaccuracies in the experts' conclusions.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 30, 2024, the forensic expert admitted that in his conclusion he had failed to describe all the wounds on the body of Magomed-Ali Sultanov. In this regard, the Sultanov's murder case should be sent for additional investigation, the advocate has stated. Lawyers have confirmed that the above violation calls into question the reliability of the entire expertise.

There is only one defendant in the murder case of the 19-year-old Sultanov. The Sultanov family advocate demands that two more participants in the brawl be brought to justice and the charge be reclassified to murder by prior conspiracy.

According to investigators, on November 10, 2022, in the village of Usemikent, the defendant stabbed Sultanov multiple times; and he died from his wounds on the spot. Investigators believe that there was only one attacker, but the video shows that four people were involved in the brawl.

One of Kayakent residents said that attackers' relatives had tried to bribe the parents of the casualty's friend so that he would not identify anyone.
