Heroines of video with kiss fined in Krasnodar

Two residents of Krasnodar were fined 50,000 roubles each because of a video in which they were kissing in a cafe.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on February 6, it became known that a Krasnodar female blogger and her girlfriend shot a video in which one proposed to the other and then they were kissing with passion. The police drew up protocols against the both young women for promoting non-traditional sexual relationships. The young women apologized and stated that they did not intend to promote LGBT* community. According to the lawyers’ version, the young women apologized in order to reduce the negative consequences.

The 24-year-old female blogger and her 19-year-old girlfriend were fined in Krasnodar for the video with their kiss, the joint press service for the courts of the Krasnodar Territory reports in its Telegram channel. The young women were prosecuted under the article on propaganda of non-traditional values.

*On November 30, 2023, the Supreme Court (SC) of the Russian Federation declared the movement an “extremist organization” and banned the “international public movement of LGBT people”. With this decision, the court satisfied the claim of the Russian Ministry of Justice (MoJ), sent to the court on November 17, 2023.
