Dagestani MMA fighter Mutaev’s murder motivated by personal hostility, ICRF reports

According to the investigators’ version, a man suspected of murdering mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Magomedrasul Mutaev committed the crime, as he had a personal dislike for the athlete. This was reported by the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on January 31, MMA fighter Magomedrasul Mutaev got several gunshot wounds near his house in Makhachkala. The athlete died on the way to the hospital. The alleged motive for the murder was revenge, sources report. On February 3, 18-year-old Nadyrkhan Kadirkhanov was detained on suspicion of the murder.

Earlier, sources reported that bullying could be the reason for Magomedrasul Mutaev’s murder. “Magomedrasul Mutaev took advantage of being stronger than young guys in the gym. He mocked the younger ones and took their belongings away from them. I don’t justify the killer, but the guy’s nerves simply couldn’t stand bullying,” reports the “Tut Dagestan” Telegram channel.

Acquaintances of the resident of the Korkmaskala village, allegedly involved in the murder of Magomedrasul Mutaev, noted that the suspect had always been a good guy. “It took a lot of pressure to make him decide to kill someone,” said a young man’s fellow villager as quoted by the “News.ru”.

Another acquaintance of the suspect also claimed that the young man was subjected to bullying by Magomedrasul Mutaev. “There is information that Magomedrasul Mutaev severely beat him about a week ago. He was putting out cigarettes on the guy’s body,” the suspect’s acquaintance emphasized.

The young man suspected of the murder was subjected to bullying by Magomedrasul Mutaev. The reason was the young man’s words about the athlete’s father, the “Mash Gor” Telegram channel reported.

Magomedrasul Mutaev was born in 2003. He was considered one of the most prominent students of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, the father of MMA fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov. Magomedrasul Mutaev was predicted to have a great future in mixed martial arts.
