Alexei Abramov's wife reports her husband's transfer to SMO zone

Alexei Abramov, a Krasnodar resident, who is seeking to cancel his mobilization decision due to health problems, has been sent to Mariupol and has failed so far to receive a repeated referral to the military medical commission, his wife has informed, adding that Alexei can buy painkillers, but they are helpless in relieving his pains caused by multiple backbone hernias.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Abramov, who had received an order in Dagestan to return to the special military operation (SMO) zone in Ukraine, refused to participate in hostilities, explaining this by his health condition due to a grave spinal disease. Abramov walks on crutches, while the command of his military unit expresses dissatisfaction with the publicity of his case and puts pressure on him, Mikhail Benyash*, a lawyer, has stated.

In August it became known that the medical commission found Abramov as partially fit for military service.

According to his wife, when her husband was taken to Mariupol, he did not know where he was taken until the very end. Moreover, the company commander, who was sure that Abramov would be taken to a military medical commission, did not know this either.

Although Alexei can buy painkillers with his own money, they no longer help. "The company commander, who is with him every day, sees this situation, so he relieved her husband of most of his duties, and Alexei is simply staying with the unit," said Ksenia, Alexei's wife.

In November 2022, Ksenia said that Alexei, while being in the SMO zone, could not walk or wear a bulletproof vest due to his grave spinal disease and constant pains.
