Criticism of SMO turns into criminal case against Azov resident

Law enforcers have opened a criminal case of terrorism against a resident of the city of Azov (Rostov Region), who criticized the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine in the "VKontakte" social network and called for blowing up an administrative building.

According to investigators, the 34-year-old resident of Azov had posted his comments in the "VKontakte" social network in which he condemned the SMO, criticized authorities and insulted officials. The examination found in his comments signs of incitement to violence and destruction of administrative buildings, the "OVD-Info"* project reports.

A criminal case has been opened against the Azov resident on calls for terrorism (provides for up to seven years in prison, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"). He called for burning the Government House building and blowing up the State Duma building. The man is under recognizance not to leave the place, the Telegram channel "Caution, News" has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that Victor Pozdnyakov from the village of Neklinovskaya had been fined by 10,000 roubles for discrediting the Russian Army due to his critical post placed in a social network.
