Scientific journal deletes article due to invasion of pro-Kadyrov bots

The scientific journal “TechInsider” removed an article about the Adam's apple after the bots praising the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, began posting massive comments on the journal’s pages in social networks.

The article discussed the role played by the Adam's apple in human body. However, there was not a word about Ramzan Kadyrov, the “News.ru” outlet has noted.

In Russian, the word "Adam's apple" (kadyk) is consonant with the surname "Kadyrov". The title of the article contained the phrase "Adam's apple". As you know, Ramzan Kadyrov has a son named Adam. Probably, bots began to massively leave comments because of these consonances, the editors of the journal have suggested.

“We deleted this post because it’s impossible: we are cleaning up the comments, but bots are running there again and pouring negativity … Naturally, we didn’t expect such a reaction,” Nikita Vasilyonok, the editor-in-chief of the journal’s website, has explained, as reported by the outlet named “Podyom” (Rise).

One of the comments left by the bots says that the head of Chechnya is a true patriot who appreciates traditions and culture, and also respects citizens. Another comment says that the head of Chechnya is an example to follow.

The “TechInsider” journal writes about sciences and technologies; its website contains no political publications.
