Chechen budget-funded servants are forced to take part in pro-governmental flash mob under threat of firing

Managers of budget-funded institutions are forcing, under a threat of dismissal, their employees to get registered in social networks and post their photos with the hashtag "#MySemyaKRA" (We are the family of Kadyrov, Ramzan Akhmatovich) in support of Ramzan Kadyrov, who occurred under US sanctions.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Chechen authorities initiated a flash mob in social networks in support of Kadyrov, who was placed under new US sanctions for human rights violations. Chechen educators state that they are forced to participate in the above flash mob.

"Yesterday, our principal announced that we should post as many photos as possible in social networks with the hashtag '#MySemyaKRA'... Those who have no account should create one and at the same time write comments in support of Ramzan and against those who write something bad in his address or the address of the republic," said Leila, a school teacher from the Grozny District.

"We had a meeting on the parade ground, where everyone was given a leaflet with this hashtag; and a video was filmed and then posted on the Instagram. We chanted in chorus 'Akhmat is power!'," said a policeman from the Naur ROVD (District Interior Division).

In its turn, the Chechen Ministry of Sports has refuted the coercion to participate in the flash mob. Ibragim Gaitukaev the Ministry's spokesman, called the flash mob "a super-fantastic invention" and referred to the coronavirus pandemic.
