Actions in support of Ali Bataev held in Europe

The participants of the actions held in Switzerland, Austria and Germany came out to the streets against the deportation to Russia of Ali Bataev, a native of Chechnya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 14 it became known that Swiss authorities had treated the stay in Switzerland of Ali Bataev, a native of Chechnya, who had arrived from Ukraine, as illegal. They intend to deport him to Russia. Bataev went on a hunger strike, as he is sure that he will be persecuted by Chechen authorities.

On July 21, rallies were held in Switzerland, Austria and Germany, where the participants opposed Ali Bataev's extradition to Russia, the "Kavkaz.Realii"* project reports.

According to Lachin Mamishov, one of the organizers of the rally, the extradition of Ali Bataev to prison means putting him in danger.

In the city of Bern, about 30 people took part in the rally; in Austria and Germany, pickets were held near the buildings of the Swiss representative office.
