Prosecutor failed to finish his speech at debates on Abdulmumin Gadjiev's case

Speaking at the debates during the trial of the case of Abdulmumin Gadjiev, Abubakar Rizvanov and Kemal Tambiev, accused of financing extremist organizations, the prosecutor repeated the arguments earlier voiced out during the trial. It was expected that he would finish his speech in one session, but he had not enough time.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 18, 2023, it was announced that the court finished investigation in the case of financing terrorism against Abdulmumin Gadjiev, Kemal Tambiev and Abubakar Rizvanov was over. The third examination, which the prosecutor insisted on, has also failed to find any calls for illegal actions in Gadjiev's publications. His colleagues from the "Chernovik" (Draft) outlet, where Gadjiev is one of the editors, treat his case as political persecution and regularly hold solo pickets in his support in Makhachkala.

At the session of the Southern District Military Court, held on June 15, the prosecutor spoke in the debates. It was planned that he would complete his speech, but he failed to cope with the allotted time, Arsen Shabanov, one of the advocates, has explained.

"The expertise conclusions have not yet been noted in his speech. The only new thing we expect is the prison terms that he will ask for the defendants," said Laura, Kemal Tambiev's wife.
