Father of Chechen native Djambetov agrees to his murder

On an audio record, a father of Khusein Djambetov states that he forgives a blood feud enemy who will kill his son. Khusein Djambetov began to hand over to the republic’s authorities those Chechen natives who had visited their house and expressed the disagreement with the Chechen authorities’ policy, including Imam Valid Kuruev.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that in October 2022, a criminal case was instituted against Khusein Djambetov for participation in the creation of a terrorist community. According to the law enforcement bodies’ information, the man took part in the creation of the “Separate Special Purpose Battalion of the Armed Forces of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria”, a part of the Foreign Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In May, Khusein Djambetov returned to Chechnya and went over to the side of Ramzan Kadyrov. The man also posted a video on the Internet in which he boasted of participating in the killings of Ukrainian soldiers.

According to one of the religious leaders, representatives of the Chechen clergy often visited Europe. “Not Kadyrov’s followers, just honest imams ... They were worried that young people were moving away from the faith. Of course, their visits were not coordinated with the authorities of Chechnya. Among them was especially respected imam Valid Kuruev, an old friend of the Khusein Djambetov’s father,” said the religious leader. However, according to him, Khusein Djambetov began to “hand over to the authorities of Chechnya” those who “weave plots” in Europe.

The religious leader has also noted that for several days no one knows where Valid Kuruev has disappeared. “For the old man, it is a great shame that his son betrayed everyone who said something bad about <Kadyrov>. But the worst of all is the thought that his old friend was, in all likelihood, brough to a prison,” said the man when commenting on the statement voiced by the father of Khusein Djambetov.
