Woman from Derbent detained by law enforcers at Moscow airport

Law enforcers detained a girl-resident of Derbent at a Moscow airport, when she tried to fly out of Russia. She planned to apply for political asylum in the Netherlands, her bridegroom has explained.

At the Sheremetyevo Airport, law enforcers have detained Ulker Gashimova, who had planned to fly to meet her boyfriend Anton Kolomitsyn, the "Sota" outlet reports. According to the outlet, Gashimova was detained on May 2; and on the same day her home in Derbent was searched. In particular, law enforcers asked Ulker's mother about Kolomitsyn.

"A criminal case has been opened against Kolomitsyn in Russia under the article on the disclosure of state secrets due to his posting of topographic maps. In 2020, he emigrated from the country, being under recognizance not to leave," the "Sota" has added.

Anton Kolomitsyn has stated that Ulker Gashimova had expressed her support for Ukraine. According to his story, in January, Ulker tried to leave Russia for the first time, but her relatives had torn her passport. After the restoration of the document, Ulker bought a ticket to Belgrade, planning to apply for political asylum when changing in Amsterdam, where Anton Kolomitsyn himself lives, the "Kavkaz.Realii"* project reports.

"It is not known at the moment what particular article is imputed to her ... From what law enforcers told her mother, at least she is accused of supporting Ukraine," the project quotes Anton as saying.
