Mother of Ozdoev accused of attacking law enforcers re-urges her son to surrender to authorities

The mother of Adam Ozdoev, who was put on the wanted list in the case of an attack on law enforcers in Ingushetia, has again recorded a video appeal to her son urging him to surrender to authorities.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after the attack of the DPS (road-and-patrol) traffic police post on the Ingush-North-Ossetian border committed on March 28, six residents of Ingushetia were put on the wanted list. Later, two of them, Ramazan Eldiev and Movsar Kottoev, were found dead. The other wanted men managed to escape law enforcers twice after shootouts – on April 3 in Malgobek and on April 5 in Zyazikov-Yurt; and law enforcers suffered losses on both occasions. On April 7, Amir Bokov surrendered to the police; and the next day it became known about the detention of Mikail Moshkhoev. The remaining two – Amirkhan Gurazhev and Adam Ozdoev – remained on the wanted list.

On April 15, the head of Ingushetia reported, without giving names, that during the counterterrorist operation (CTO), four alleged militants were killed, and two were detained. Thus, the deaths of Gurazhev and Ozdoev were not officially confirmed.

"Without my and your father's forgiveness, hell will inevitably await you. I carried you in my arms; you had no need in anything, for what?! For the sake of Allah, I beg you to surrender to authorities!" Adam Ozdoev's mother says in her video appeal, the Telegram channel ingterpol_news reports.

The law enforcers' losses during the battle in Zyazikov-Yurt, namely three casualties and eight wounded ones, became the largest in victim count per day in Ingushetia since August 2012; it follows from the chronicle of armed incidents in Ingushetia, run by the "Caucasian Knot" since 2006.
