Propagandists in Chechnya throw their efforts to support official version of events in Gudermes

The head of the “Grozny” ChGTRK (State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company) posted a video in which he criticized statements about the events in Gudermes that contradicted the official version, accusing “European shaitans” of disseminating them.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on March 29, sources reported about an attack on a police checkpoint in Gudermes and two killed persons. Ramzan Kadyrov announced that two militants refused to surrender, threw a grenade, and were killed. Several people identified the dead as two local residents, an uncle and a nephew, blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov reported.

Akhmed Dudaev, Chechen Minister of Press, stated on his Telegram channel that “two terrorists offered aggressive resistance.” According to him, there were a woman and children in the house, “where the terrorists stayed and from where they opened fire back.” Akhmed Dudaev claims that Ramzan Kadyrov saved the woman and the children by taking the families of one of those killed out of the house.

Chingiz Akhmadov, the director of the ChGTRK “Grozny”, also stated that “thanks to the leader of Chechnya, the women and the children who stayed in the house with the terrorists were saved.” “Zero material damage, zero damage to the comfort of residents of Gudermes,” Chingiz Akhmadov stated.

He criticized the versions that a man with a long moustache could not be a terrorist, as well as that one of those killed was beaten or killed before the incident in Gudermes, and that what happened was a staging by the law enforcement bodies.

Ramzan Kadyrov’s version of the planned special operation does not inspire confidence, since human rights defenders are aware of cases of staged armed clashes, when kidnapped people were declared to be militants killed while rendering resistance, emphasizes Svetlana Gannushkina*, the chair of the “Civic Assistance Committee”*.
