Spouses from Rostov-on-Don sentenced for setting fire to a car with Z sign

Oleg Denisov and Irina Kuznetsova from Rostov-on-Don were sentenced to imprisonment in a penal colony for setting fire to a car with symbols of the special military operation in Ukraine.

In July 2022, the 24-year-old man and his 22-year-old wife were detained after setting fire to a car with the Z letter belonging to a police officer. According to the investigators’ version, the suspects set the police officer’s car on fire for a reward of 15,000 roubles.

The car was destroyed, and the damage exceeded 700,000 roubles, the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation reports on its official website.

Oleg Denisov was sentenced to two years and eight months, and Irina Kuznetsova – to two years and seven months of imprisonment in a penal colony.

The “Caucasian Knot” has also reported that in November 2022, the police detained a resident of Novorossiysk, suspected of damaging several cars with Z symbols.
