Investigators refuse to detain law enforcers-figurants in case of beating schoolboy

Investigators have refused to arrest the law enforcers suspected of beating up a 14-year-old Volgograd schoolboy; and gave no answer at all to the petition demanding to remove them from service, Alyona Maksaeva, an advocate, has stated, adding that, at investigators' initiative, an examination was conducted on whether the boy's appearance matched his age.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that two policemen were suspected of using violence during detention of a 14-year-old boy in Volgograd. According to investigators, the teenager began running away from law enforcers, who were in civilian clothes, but they detained him by using force and special means. The victim's mother said that the boy had undergone surgery. In August, the schoolboy was recognized as a victim.

On August 2, in the village of Seleznyovka in the Traktorozavodskoi District of Volgograd, law enforcers dressed in civilian clothes tied up a 14-year-old schoolboy, mistaking him for a drug pawnbroker. The boy's mother demands to punish the perpetrators, but the conducted check found law enforcers' actions to be justified.

The schoolboy's advocate has added that the suspects had not yet been suspended from service, the "v1.ru" outlet writes.

According to the advocate, at investigators' request, the teenager was sent for an examination in order to establish his biological age based on external data. Alyona Maksaeva has suggested that this was done in order to prove that the boy looks older than his age and can be mistaken for an adult. However, the examination showed that he looks within the boundaries of his age, the "Bloknot-Volgograd" reports.
