Volgograd resident's mother finds his mobilization unlawful

Andrei Chernichkin was mobilized without a medical examination, despite his disease, his mother has stated. According to her story, her appeals to power bodies remained unanswered.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Andrei, a Volgograd resident, fell under the draft, despite the fact that he has to care for his mother, a Category I invalid, his female relatives have complained. Also, the mother of Nikolai Glazkov, a resident of the Gorodischensky District, demanded to cancel his mobilization through the prosecutor's office. The 43-year-old man suffers from serious illnesses, she has pointed out.

On October 4, Andrei Bocharov, the Governor of the Volgograd Region, announced the cancellation of the mobilization of 379 residents of the region; most of them were found unfit for health reasons.

The Uryupinsk military commissariat has sent Andrei Chernichkin, 21, to the Volgograd training ground without a medical examination, although he suffers from an eye disease. "He has poor eyesight and won't be able to serve there; he will be completely useless," his mother has stated.

Lyudmila Chernichkina, his mother, a resident of the village of Lukovskaya, Nekhaevsky District of the Volgograd Region, has explained that her son returned from the army two years ago. He has a military specialty "chemist". While in the army, Andrei's eye disease began progressing.

She has added that her son was assigned a new specialty – a grenade launcher. "He has never seen the grenade launcher at all, he doesn't know how to approach it," the woman was indignant.

Since September 21, more than 30 appeals have been received from citizens regarding mobilization, Anton Getmanenko, the executive director of the legal firm, has noted, pointing out that the absence of medical commissions at commissariats is a "violation of the law."

It should be noted here that in the Volgograd Region, as well as in other regions of Southern Russia, attempts were made to mobilize people who, due to their age or health status, should not be sent to the combat zone.

Thus, on October 3, Vitaly Kandalov, a 43-year-old Volgograd resident, applied to the court with a demand to lower the category on his military ID. According to his story, the commissariat has ignored his health condition, but immediately sent him to a military unit.

On September 23, Alexander Ermolaev, a 63-year-old reserve lieutenant colonel, was sent to a training ground in the Volgograd Region, despite his age and illness. On the same day he was sent back home.
