Nukhazhiev: attack on Tsa-Vedeno is a result of negligence of power agencies

The militants' attack on Tsa-Vedeno, when three persons fell victim, is a result of negligence and criminally poor attitude of the heads of the power agencies to their duties, the RIA "Novosti" quotes the statement by Nurdi Nukhazhiev, Chechen Ombudsman:

"I think that the Military Prosecutor's Office of the United Troops Grouping in Northern Caucasus should, at least this time, exhibit its fidelity to principles and conduct a thorough examination, why it has become possible that in the middle of 2007 illegal armed formations can block a village for several hours and demonstratively execute people, including children, and burn down households of employees of the state bodies of power."

The "Caucasian Knot" has already reported that according to operative data a group of militants burnt down the houses of a militiaman and a serviceman of Interior Troops in the Tsa-Vedeno village of the Vedeno District of Chechnya, and on the same night in the same village set a car on fire that entailed a murder of three persons.

After the incident, the head of the Vedeno District Interior Department was dismissed.

Ruslan Alkhanov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Chechnya, has informed the RIA "Novosti" that the names of the attackers on the Chechen Tsa-Vedeno village are already known.

Meanwhile, certain residents of the Vedeno District of Chechnya assert that this murder could have been committed not by the militants.
