On Menyailo's demand, North Ossetia announces recruitment of volunteers

On the demand of Sergey Menyailo, the head of North Ossetia, the regions are recruiting detachments of volunteers to be sent to Ukraine, municipal authorities have informed. They promise to pay those who agree to become contractors USD 53 per day.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that North-Ossetian regional heads should form detachments of volunteers to be sent to Ukraine; this is a new criterion for evaluating the work of municipal officials, Mr Menyailo stated on August 29.

Already on August 30, respective announcements about recruitment into detachments appeared in social networks of district administrations. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent called the district administrations and found out that one can sign up for service directly at the administration or apply to the military commissariat.

The participants of the special operation in Ukraine "are paid USD 53 per day," the administration of the Digorsk District has assured the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The home page of the website of the Alagir District contains a social directory of the participant in the special operation, which explains the terms of payment for the service. For example, the state undertakes to pay 300,000 roubles for a downed plane, the directory says.
