Kadyrov's reaction to SBU accusations underlined his confidence in his impunity

Ramzan Kadyrov is suspected of preparing and participating in the special military operation in Ukraine, of justifying the actions of the Russian troops, and also of intending to change the borders of Ukraine. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine in its Telegram channel. In response, the leader of Chechnya asked the Ukrainian security forces for an address where he should come.

On June 26, Ramzan Kadyrov announced that four battalions of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) would be formed in Chechnya, including “Sever-Akhmat”, “Yug-Akhmat”, “Zapad-Akhmat”, and “Vostok-Akhmat”, which would include “exclusively Chechen guys.” The leader of Chechnya added that a police regiment of more than 2000 fighters is being recruited in Chechnya to guard an oil and gas complex.

Daniil Martynov, the deputy chief of the National Guard Department for Chechnya, and Khusein Mezhidov, the commander of the “Yug” battalion, are also suspected of war crimes in Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine reported in its Telegram channel.

In response, Ramzan Kadyrov noted in his Telegram channel that he would continue to support the special military operation in Ukraine. “If it depends on me, I would have taken Kyiv a long time ago,” Ramzan Kadyrov confirmed his position.

Before the start of the special military operation, the leader of Chechnya had repeatedly declared his readiness to annex Ukraine.

On March 13, a video appeared on Telegram channels stating that Ramzan Kadyrov had arrived in Ukraine, met Chechen security forces there, and set them the task of “taking Kyiv.”
