40% of entrants in the SFD gave bribes at entering universities

A poll among internet users in the SFD shows that about 40 percent of the respondents gave bribes at entering universities.

Editors of webrostov.ru, a popular Rostov city site, report to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that "the question of the day" - did you offer a bribe at entering university? - has been placed there. The editors have also placed the same question in similar sites in Stavropol, Volgograd and Krasnodar. In the course of two weeks, 317 persons responded to the question on bribes in Rostov-on-Don. Naturally, a bribe is understood to mean not only an open bribery but also connections at the entrance examination board, training by a teacher from the same university, etc.

Out of the above-mentioned cities in the SFD, Rostov proves to be the most corrupted one. Here, 41 percent of the respondents have confessed that they gave bribes at entering the university. In Stavropol, 37 percent of respondents gave bribes at entering the university, in Krasnodar - 36, in Volgograd - 35.

The age is not indicated in the responses, and the poll organizers assume that bribery has been spread over several years.
