Militiamen of North Ossetia still have their 683 million roubles of "emergency money" unpaid

Today, deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania have appealed to Boris Gryzlov, Chairman of the State Duma of Russia, for assistance in payment out of monetary compensations to the employees of the Republic's militia, who carried out their duties in the period of the state of emergency, and when the Republic was in the armed conflict zone.

"As of today, the sum of indebtedness of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation under 3,989 judicial claims is about 682.8 million roubles. There were arrests of all banking accounts of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of North Ossetia related to enforcement of judicial decisions in conformity with Article 242.3 of the Budgetary Code of the Russian Federation. Such situation is telling negatively on the moral status of the employees of law enforcement bodies," the appeal states.

An anonymous source in the Republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs has reported in his conversation with the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that according to the available data, in total over 10,000 law enforcement officers had the right to receive their "combat money."
