Award of Kadyrov’s daughter causes scepticism among social media users

Minister of Culture of Chechnya Aishat Kadyrova received the highest award of the republic because of her family ties, Instagram* users suggested in their comments under a post reporting that the daughter of the leader of Chechnya was awarded the Order of Kadyrov.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on September 1, 2020, Ramzan Kadyrov announced the appointment of his eldest daughter Aishat to the post of First Deputy Minister of Culture of Chechnya. Instagram* users then considered that the appointment was connected exclusively with the Aishat Kadyrova’s family ties.

Minister of Culture of Chechnya Aishat Kadyrova received the Order of Kadyrov, the highest award of the Chechen Republic, the “Chechnya Segodnya” (Chechnya Today) news agency reported on June 23.

Akhmed Dudaev, Chechen Minister for National Policy, Foreign Relations, Press and Information, congratulated the daughter of the leader of Chechnya with receiving the highest award of the Chechen Republic and noted that Aishat Kadyrova ”made a huge contribution to improving the culture of the region.”

The post reporting about the Aishat Kadyrova’s award is also posted on the Instagram* account of the “Grozny-Inform” news agency.

In their comments, social media users reacted with irony to the award of the Ramzan Kadyrov’s eldest daughter. “It cannot be true )))),” defiantly surprised, in particular, user vainakh. “It turns out it can,” user honkistka answered him in the same ironic tone.

“Well, of course, Kadyrova was handed over the Order of Kadyrov,” user djannat.house.kg noted.

*On March 21, the Tverskoi Court of Moscow banned the activities in Russia of the Meta Company, owning Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, in connection with extremist activities.
