Zarema Musaeva's arrest of extended until July 12

On June 10, a court in Grozny extended the arrest of Zarema Musaeva; the case of her attacking a law enforcer is being checked by the prosecutor's office, Abubakar Yangulbaev, a Musaeva's son, has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Zarema Musaeva, the wife of Saidi Yangulbaev, a former federal judge, was taken away by law enforcers from Nizhny Novgorod to Grozny on January 20, 2022. On February 1, the woman was charged with assaulting a law enforcer. On February 11, her son pointed out that Zarema Musaeva has diabetes mellitus with multiple complications, and that jails, special detention centres and SIZOs (pre-trial prisons) cannot keep people with this disease.

Zarema Musaeva was informed about the extension of her arrest by her son, Abubakar Yangulbaev. "The detention at the Grozny SIZO has been extended until July 12 this year," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to his story, the criminal case on his mother's attacking the law enforcer "has passed the stage of preliminary investigation and is now being checked by the prosecutor," after which it will be sent to court.

At Musaeva's SIZO, "she is provided with the necessary medical treatment," Yangulbaev has added. "There are no claims against the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service (known as FSIN). All the claims are against the head of the Russian region in the Caucasus," he has stressed.

Let us remind you that the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, had accused the Yangulbaev family of organizing a terrorist network and supporting terrorism, and stated that a place awaits them "in prison or under the ground."
